The importance of Corporate Gifting this Christmas!
It’s that time of year where we are well and truly past the half way mark, the weather is warming up, restrictions are being eased (or there is *some* light at the end of THAT tunnel!) and there is a bit of energy in the air. We all need something to look forward to and the buzz of Christmas is just around the corner.
The difficult situation of working during a pandemic has tested many this year. Working from home has some advantages, but the essential 1:1 (non virtual) staff and client interactions are long gone which takes away the personalised connections that we need in order to excel. As such, gifting in the corporate world has increased. In fact, a recent study in the US (by Coresight Research) was conducted among 300 corporate gift buyers in May this year. The study found that over 80% of the 300 companies reported that corporate gifting improved relationships with employees and clients, with 48% saying gifting delivered their business a substantial benefit. These benefits included:
- Making the recipient feel valued;
- Improved customer loyalty; and
- Improved employee retention
This research indicates that gifting is an opportunity for businesses to truly expose their values and demonstrate to clients and colleagues (in a thoughtful and personalised manner) how meaningful it is to be part of their team.
Gifting is a physical act of gratitude. It is a way of actively demonstrating your personal appreciation as well as giving thanks on behalf of your business. You are creating a unique experience for your recipients, which will ultimately grow your business.
So, whether you have employees to appreciate, clients to acknowledge or suppliers to thank – a gift will go a long way this Christmas!
